Mint Thai (Saranae)
Mint Thai (Saranae)
Mentha arvensis ‘Thai’
Out of stock
Thai mint, known as Saranae in Thailand, is the sweetest variety of the mint family! It is an essential herb in Thai cooking for many stir fries and salads.
Mint is a low maintenance plant, but it spreads vigorously if left to its own devices. For this reason, it’s best to grow mint in confined spaces such as a raised bed, pot or container. Mint can even be grown in a sunny window sill for fresh herbs straight from the kitchen.
Notes: Mint benefits from regular pinching; so as you pick for culinary use be sure to pinch out to a leaf node to increase bushiness.
