Hungarian chamomile, also known as German chamomile, is a wonderful herb. It has and continues to be used as a medicinal herb for its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties. It’s incredibly beautiful and makes for a wonderful sunny balcony garden plant.
Notes: Hungarian Chamomile is not a true perennial (so for edible perennial plants enthusiasts you may want to pass on this one) but it acts like a perennial in the garden if you let it. It self seeds where it is planted, it's dependable to show up year after year in the same garden spot if left to go to seed.
Harvest Notes: The recommended time to harvest chamomile flowers is midday on sunny summer days. At this time, the flowers will be fully open and the essential oil concentration will be at its highest. To
