Only 1 remaining
Common lilac is a beautiful deciduous shrub that has heavily scented blooms from May to June. The scent of lilacs is intoxicating! Cut flowers brought into the house bring the scent of spring inside. Planting lilacs as a hedge provides privacy in the garden from spring until late autumn.
The flowers of common lilacs are edible and can be used to decorate baking or even make cordial syrup for drinks.

Soil | Prefers well draining soils. Drought tolerant once established. |
Light | Prefers full sun (over 8 hours a day). Can also be grown in part shade but the flowers will be less prolific. |
Form | 12 ft. tall and 10 ft. wide (can be pruned to be more compact). |
