Blue passion flower is one of the hardiest passion flower varieties. It is a fast growing vining plant that produces stunning creamy white and blue flowers that attract butterflies. As the flowers fade, they are replaced by large edible orange fruits with red seeds. The fruit is not as tasty as the tropical varieties but is still tasty and neat to grow here in the mild areas of the Pacific Northwest.

At Nested, we grow our passion flower in a protected, sunny, well draining position and deeply mulch it in autumn, to help protect the root systems from hard winter frosts.
