These beautiful pole drying beans come with quite the story. In 1865, the Mostoller brothers (David and John) brought home a wild goose for dinner after a successful hunt. When their mother (Sarah) was processing dinner she found these beautiful beans inside the goose's corp! They have been planted out and saved ever since.
Mostoller Wild Goose beans are a wonderful snap bean when young and dry storage bean when mature.
Here at Nested we direct sow beans in the garden once the soil is consistently warm (over 21C).
