Giant Yellow Pincushion Seeds
Cephalaria gigantea
In stock
A striking perennial that makes an excellent focal plant. Pale yellow flowers sway in the wind on airy stems stretching up to 8 feet tall. Adored by bumblebees, each flower often has multiple visitors at a time! We like to use this stand out species to bring whimsical form and movement to meadow plantings without being overbearing. A wonderful long lasting cut flower.
Here at Nested we winter sow giant yellow pincushion in milk jugs late autumn and direct sow in late winter to early spring. Giant yellow pincushion will self-seed if the spent flower heads are left on the plant into autumn
